If you'd like to supplement your basic life insurance, or if you want to purchase life insurance for your dependents, Immanuel offers voluntary life insurance coverage through Reliance Standard. This option is especially beneficial if you want to add more protection for yourself at our competitive group rate or if you have a pre-existing medical condition and want to skip health questions.
Voluntary Life Insurance
In addition to the basic life and AD&D insurance provided by Immanuel, eligible employees may purchase voluntary life and AD&D insurance for themselves and their family members. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

You must elect coverage for yourself to purchase coverage for your dependents. The maximum amount of coverage you can elect for yourself is $500,000, not to exceed five times your annual base salary. You can purchase up to $100,000 for your spouse/domestic partner, not to exceed 50% of the amount you elect for yourself. And you can buy $10,000 in coverage for your eligible children.

Guaranteed issue amounts are available to new plan participants. When you first enroll, you may purchase up to $200,000 in coverage for yourself, $100,000 for your spouse/domestic partner and $10,000 for your children. Amounts over the guaranteed issue will require evidence of insurability.
