Providing peace of mind when you need it most

If you cannot work due to a medical condition, illness or injury, disability insurance can help replace your income. Immanuel provides basic short-term and long-term disability insurance at no cost to eligible employees, so you have supplemental pay when you need it most to help cover your everyday bills and expenses.

Short-Term Disability

Basic short-term disability insurance can protect part of your paycheck for up to 10 weeks should you become unable to work due to a qualified illness or non-work-related injury. Here are some things to note:

  • The short-term disability insurance that Immanuel provides will cover 60 percent of your base salary through week 10 or the end of your disability, whichever comes first.

  • The benefit begins after 15 calendar days of disability.

Long-Term Disability

Long-term disability insurance replaces a portion of your income if you can’t work for an extended period of time due to a non-work-related illness or injury. Here are the key points:

  • The long-term disability insurance Immanuel provides will cover 60 percent of your base salary, up to a $7,500 monthly maximum.|

  • The benefit begins on the 91st day of disability.

  • Payments will last for as long as you are disabled or until you reach retirement age, whichever comes first.
