If you cannot work due to a medical condition, illness or injury, disability insurance can help replace your income. Immanuel provides basic short-term and long-term disability insurance at no cost to eligible employees, so you have supplemental pay when you need it most to help cover your everyday bills and expenses.
Short-Term Disability
Basic short-term disability insurance can protect part of your paycheck for up to 10 weeks should you become unable to work due to a qualified illness or non-work-related injury. Here are some things to note:

The short-term disability insurance that Immanuel provides will cover 60 percent of your base salary through week 10 or the end of your disability, whichever comes first.

The benefit begins after 15 calendar days of disability.
Long-Term Disability
Long-term disability insurance replaces a portion of your income if you can’t work for an extended period of time due to a non-work-related illness or injury. Here are the key points:

The long-term disability insurance Immanuel provides will cover 60 percent of your base salary, up to a $7,500 monthly maximum.|

The benefit begins on the 91st day of disability.

Payments will last for as long as you are disabled or until you reach retirement age, whichever comes first.
